Call for entries reminder
With less than a month to go, we would like to remind you of the imminent deadline for applications to be submitted for the British Glass Biennale. The Biennale is open to artists, designers and craftspeople, working in all areas of contemporary glass practice or using glass as a key design element. Applicants must have been living and working in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland for the last two consecutive years.
Awards
The British Glass Biennale is delighted to be working in association with the Worshipful Company of Glass Sellers to offer three prizes. The British Glass Biennale Award is increased to £8000 for the ‘best in show’; the Glass Sellers Award is worth £5000 and the Glass Sellers Student Award of £1000.

Jury
An expert panel will be judging the submissions; comprising:
Will Farmer: Director, Fieldings Auctioneers
Deirdre Figueiredo: Director, Craftspace
Jeremy Hunt: Editor, Art & Architecture
Kim Mawhinney: Curator of Applied Art, Ulster Museum
Angela Thwaites: Glass Artist
The names of the selected exhibitors will be published at the end of April 2008 with the prize winners announced at the Awards Ceremony on 21 August at the Ruskin Glass Centre.
