Awards 2006

The British Glass Biennale in 2006 offered a £5,000 first prize for the piece judged to be the ‘Best in Show’. The 2006 awards also included the new ‘Made Together Award’ of £5,000 sponsored by net infinity (an Advantage West Midlands project). This was awarded for a new collaborative piece by a glass artist working with a practioner from another design sector (glass, carpets and rugs, clothing and textiles, furniture, ceramics, leather, jewellery). One of the artists had to be based in the West Midlands.
