British Glass Biennale 2010

Remaining the largest selling exhibition of contemporary glass in the country, the 2010 British Glass Biennale was once again a unique showcase of the work of 82 artists, designers and craftspeople exhibiting 115 pieces of work. 2010 saw the successful introduction of an Invited Section, to recognise the ongoing contribution of a number of glassmakers.

The relationship forged with The Worshipful Company of Glass Sellers continued in 2010. In addition new links were made with Art in Action, to offer exhibitors the chance of an amazing total of £11,500 in awards.  Craftsman  craft&design magazine offered a new award with the winners receiving increased press exposure within craft&design magazine. Once again the public were able to vote for thieir favourite piece in the show with the return of the People’s Prize 2010 Award, sponsored by Warm Glass UK.
