British Glass Biennale 2006

The 2006 Biennale exhibition was an outstanding showcase of work by over 100 artists, designers and craftspeople and the largest selling exhibition of contemporary glass in the country.

AWARDS 2006
The British Glass Biennale in 2006 offered a £5,000 first prize for the piece judged to be the ‘best in the show’. The 2006 awards also included the new ‘Made Together Award’ of £5,000 sponsored by net infinity (an Advantage West Midlands project). This was awarded for a new collaborative piece by a glass artist working with a practioner from another design sector (glass, carpets and rugs, clothing and textiles, furniture, ceramics, leather, jewellery).
